Database Parameters

The database parameters area is used to enter the database connection type, directory path of the accounting data, and internet connectivity information. The remote drive mapping is used only if the client server pack has been installed and is being used. The internet options are used only if connections are set up for the remote office edition or the internet sales editions. If the server type is set to Local, the drive mapping is disregarded. The client server pack must be installed to use the remote drive mapping. The internet database server pack must be installed to use the remote office and remote sales editions.

The Database Parameters Entry Screens

To enter / edit the Database Parameters:

1. From the main menu, choose the File menu option.
2. From the File menu, choose the Database Parameters menu option.
3. Edit the Database information as needed to conform to your machine configuration.
4. Choose the Ok button to save all your changes and to return to the main menu.
